After Jos had been feeling unwell all through our Christmas break, things came to a head on New Year's Eve, when he was taken to A&E by ambulance.
They've been doing a whole battery of tests but so far we're still in the dark as to what is ailing him exactly. The main thing as that he's being properly looked after.
My days have been a whirlwind of hospital visits while trying to keep things afloat here at Dove Cottage and making sure I get some rest. The latter is easier said than done as I keep having panic attacks and lying awake at night worrying.
I'm still reading your posts whenever I'm in need of a slice of normality but I haven't got the energy for leaving comments.
Normal service will be resumed when there's some kind of light at the end of the tunnel.
The photos accompanying this post were all taken during my hospital visits the last couple of days, except for the snowy roofscape which was taken from our bedroom window on Saturday morning.
Thank you for reading and bearing with me. Hope to see you soon!

I wish you and your husband the best.
ReplyDeleteDear Ann, Jon & I have been thinking of you all weekend. We're ending you and Jos lots of love and sincerely hoping that the doctors can discover what's making him so poorly so he can get back home to you and Bess.
ReplyDeletePlease don't concern yourself with leaving comments on blogs, your head must be all over the place at the minute.

I'm so sorry to hear that your husband is in hospital. I remember his last health crises and I know this must be hard for you. My prayers are with Jos! I hope you get more info soon. Sometimes the most difficult part is the diagnosis and figuring out what is wrong.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have been ill since Christmas day but we are recovering from whatever it was, a flu or a bad virus. I hope Jos feels better soon and reunites with you.
Prayers for you and Jos at this worrying time. It's good that he is where he can be cared for professionally and undergo tests. I hope that you can get some sleep in the meantime so that you will be in good shape to take care of him when he is released. (((Hugs)))
